A LOVE78 STUDIOS COMIC
A Merry Heart
Faith is serious. That doesn’t mean we always have to be.
A comic celebrating the unexpected, occasionally ridiculous, and wonderfully joyful moments that come from looking at life and Scripture with a sense of humor.
THE HEART BEHIND THE HUMOR
Because joy belongs in the journey.
I love God. I love His Word. And I love to laugh. Somewhere along the way, I realized those things do not have to live in separate rooms.
A Merry Heart grew from that simple idea: there is room for a good laugh in a life of genuine faith. Sometimes the joke comes from imagining the very human reactions of people in familiar Bible stories. Other times it comes from the strange, funny, or surprisingly relatable moments we experience as Christians today.
The goal is not to make light of God or His Word. It is to find humor in ourselves, our assumptions, and the situations we encounter—and maybe leave someone smiling and encouraged.
THE INSPIRATION
“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.”
— Proverbs 17:22 (KJV)
That verse is more than a clever title. It captures the spirit of this comic. Laughter cannot solve every problem, and faith does not erase difficult seasons. But a little joy can lift a heavy moment, open a conversation, and remind us that life with God includes delight as well as depth.
WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE

Unexpected Bible Angles
Familiar moments from Scripture viewed through a playful lens—without losing respect for the people or the truth behind the stories.
Everyday Christian life
The funny things we say, the situations we find ourselves in, and the moments when our best intentions meet reality.
Encouragement with a smile
Sometimes a laugh is simply an invitation to keep going, extend a little grace, and remember that joy is a gift.
FROM THE CREATOR
Yes, I really do think about things like this.
I am Patrick Aquilone, and my brain has a habit of wandering into odd little questions: What might someone in a Bible story have said in that moment? How would this familiar Christian phrase sound if we took it a bit too literally? And why is that suddenly a comic idea?
Some of those thoughts become A Merry Heart. Others probably should not. Thankfully, I have people in my life who help me tell the difference.
My hope is that these comics make you laugh without asking you to set aside your faith—and perhaps encourage you to look at familiar things with fresh eyes.
KEEP THE JOY GOING
Come for a smile. Stay for the encouragement.
