Behind the Comic

This is a slight twist on what actually happened. We did have this, um, debate over the scripture. But we got an elder involved and then I was a jerk about it. Vicky took it in stride with a similar response that got us both laughing.

Side note: that verse taken in context of the whole chapter basically says that both the husband and the wife are called to server each other while serving God. It just clarifies that God will hold the husband responsible for the decisions that are made. So any husband would be a fool to ignore or treat poorly the single best advisor that God has given them—their wife. That means this verse is about mutual respect and love as each of you do what is needed for the marriage.
