Rise for there is a stirring and a calling in the air

Feeling Divinely touched in a moment real and rare

Flooding holiness making every heart and soul aware

Proclaiming to all that this is an answer to prayer

Rise for the Spirit is declaring it is time to wake

Slumbering no more for the battlefield is ours to take

Anointing poured out so thick every soul quivers and quakes

Rallying we march out for the enemy’s camp to break

Rise for Jesus the Christ is standing at the right hand throne

Singing fills the air in a powerfully joyful tone

Forcing the foes to flee as the banner of love is flown

Pushing ever forward for to us victory is known

Rise for God the father is calling to take it all back

Rescuing from the pit those whose heart and soul have turned black

Restoring all whose faith have fallen to despair and lack

Establishing his kingdom as the final great love act

VERSE 1

There’s a trembling in the distance

Like the thunder before the rain

Every heartbeat growing louder

Something’s calling out our name

Dust is moving on the horizon

Heaven’s fire is in the air

Every soul can feel the tension

Like the King Himself is there

PRE-CHORUS

Breathing heavy

Hands begin to shake

Sweat and silence

Right before we break

Then the skies open…

CHORUS

RISE!

Grip your shield and lift your eyes

RISE!

Feel the Holy Spirit flood inside

Before the battle starts

The enemy has lost tonight

Our King has gone before us

So rise!

VERSE 2

I was never born a warrior

Never thought that I was strong

But the King says I am chosen

So I’m standing here holding on

Every scar and every failure

Now become what forged this sword

And the path His Son has opened

Leads us straight into the war

PRE-CHORUS

Breathing heavy

Hands begin to shake

Sweat and silence

Right before we break

Then the skies open…

CHORUS

RISE!

Grip your shield and lift your eyes

RISE!

Feel the Holy Spirit flood inside

Before the battle starts

The enemy has lost tonight

Our King has gone before us

So rise!

BRIDGE

Now the darkness breaks apart

Now the armies flee

By the banner of the risen King

We walk in victory

Strike after strike

The enemy falls

Hell cannot stand

When Heaven calls

FINAL CHORUS

RISE!

Grip your shield and lift your eyes

RISE!

Feel the Holy Spirit flood inside

Before the battle starts

The enemy has lost tonight

Our King has gone before us

So rise!

OUTRO

I never knew

There was courage here inside of me

But my King already saw

What I could not see

So anywhere You call

I’ll follow faithfully

Because the One who believed in me

Is the reason I believe
