Love is patient like a rainbow waits for a rainy day

Love is kind like the dew that gently on the dry ground lays

Love is trusting like gravity keeps from going astray

Love is humble like grass stomped with never a gripe to weigh

Love is timid like a margay that hides in leaves of trees

Love is proper like a mourning dove greets the sun with glee

Love is selfless like a dolphin risks to guide to safety

Love is soothing like a manatee gliding through the sea

Love is merciful like a spouse forgiving an affair

Love is pure like one sacrificing for a life to spare

Love is truth like two placed in a garden with all laid bare

Love is perfect like a child’s nightly innocent prayer

Love bears all like one man suffering and nailed to a cross

Love endures all like the Son taking humanity's dross

Love believes all like the Father did not count us a loss

Love hopes all like the Spirit who on us His name emboss

God's Love

Verse 1

Love is patient like the rainbow

Waiting through the stormy skies

Love is gentle like the morning dew

Breathing life where dry earth lies

Love is faithful like the gravity

Holding every star in place

Love is humble like the blades of grass

Still rising after weight

Verse 2

Love is quiet like the song bird

Hidden softly in the trees

Love is peaceful like the mourning dove

Welcoming the morning breeze

Love is selfless like the guiding hand

Leading someone back to shore

Love is calming like the ocean tide

Whispering “fear no more”

Chorus

But God’s love

God’s love is greater

Higher than the mountains

Deeper than the sea

God’s love

Burns brighter than the sunrise

And from Your endless mercy

Your love fills all of me

Oh Your love

Your love is greater

Like a river running free

And all the love of Jesus

Is pouring over me

Verse 3

Love is mercy choosing healing

After all the hurt and pain

Love is purity surrendering

So another life remains

Love is truth within the garden

Nothing hidden, nothing shamed

Love is wonder like a child at night

Whispering Jesus’s name

Chorus

But God’s love

God’s love is greater

Higher than the mountains

Deeper than the sea

God’s love

Burns brighter than the sunrise

And from Your endless mercy

Your love fills all of me

Oh Your love

Your love is greater

Like a river running free

And all the love of Jesus

Is pouring over me

Bridge

Love bears all

Like the Savior on the cross

Love endures

Never counting us as lost

Love believes

When the world would walk away

Love still hopes

Calling broken hearts by name

Father, Spirit, risen Son

Perfect love has overcome

Now forever we will sing

Your love reigns above all things

Final Chorus

Your love

Your love is greater

Stronger than the darkness

Breaking every chain

Your love

Still reaches through the shadows

Calling every weary soul

To come alive again

Oh Your love

Your love is greater

Like a river running free

And all the love of Jesus

Is pouring over me

Outro

And all the love of Jesus

Is pouring over me

And all the love of Jesus

Is pouring over me
